Equipment

  • 1 Air fryer
  • 1 Sharp knife or mandoline (for even slices)

Ingredients

  • 4 ripe bananas with brown spots
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Optional: Coconut sugar for a caramel-like flavor!

Instructions

  • Slice: Peel bananas and slice into 1/8-inch rounds. Toss with lemon juice.
  • Coat: Mix cinnamon and sugar. Dip banana slices in the mixture, shaking off excess.
  • Air Fry: Arrange slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook at 300°F (150°C) for 8 minutes, flip, then cook 6-8 minutes until golden.
  • Cool: Let chips rest 5 minutes—they crisp as they cool!
  • Enjoy: Store in an airtight container (if they last that long!).

Notes

  • Ripeness Matters: Spotted bananas = sweeter chips!
  • Storage: Stays crispy for 3 days in an airtight container.
  • Customize: Add nutmeg, cocoa powder, or a drizzle of dark chocolate!
